Biography
 
Amey was probably the only surviving child of Sebastian Pitfield (1727-1794) and Mary Woodsford (1734-1821). She was born after the deaths of her siblings, Amey and Sebastian, and was almost certainly named after her deceased sister and their grandmother, Amey Pitfield. Amey, Eliza and Mary Janet may have moved in with Amey’s son John prior to Amey’s death in 1850.
