Biography

George was the son of George Skivington (-1711) and Mary Hallet (1672-1748). He was baptised on 22 August 1702 and buried two days later on 24 August 1702 within the parish of Shillinge Ockford and probably at the Church of the Holy Rood. Shillinge Ockford (Shilling Okeford) is now known as Shillingstone.2Church of England, “Dorset, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, ...continue 3Church of England, “Dorset, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, ...continue As George was baptised and buried within a two day period it is likely that he only lived for a few days or weeks.
